What:    Atlanta Pride Kick Off  Party

The Official Kickoff Party will be returning to the Georgia Aquarium in 2012.  This perennial favorite is scheduled for Friday, October 12th and launches the Southeast’s largest Pride Festival, hosted October 13-14, which coincides with National Coming Out Day.

What:    The Official Atlanta Pride Kick-off After Party, Presented by Jungle Atlanta
When: 9:00 p.m.-3:00 a.m.
Where: Jungle Atlanta: 2115 Faulkner Road

The Third Annual Official Kick-off After-Party at the newly remodeled Jungle Atlanta features beats by DJ Ed Bailey (Washington, DC). Don’t want to wait to get into the evening’s hottest dance party? Purchase your ticket in advance to skip the line – admission $20.00, must be 21 and over to attend.

What:      YoGaga (Lady Gaga- inspired Yoga)
When:    10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Where:    Piedmont Park

Presented by Luluemon Athletica & Touch Love Yoga. Join the fun as we twist, turn & stretch to the songs of Mother Monster! Participates are encouraged to wear festive, Gaga-inspired costumes for this fun workout to start your weekend off on the right note.

When:    10:15 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
Where:    Piedmont Park Pavilion – Bud Light Stage

Fun for the whole family! This all-ages event features children’s entertainers. Free water will be provided. Join other LGBTQ parents for a chance to network!

What:  The Atlanta Pride Car and Motorcycle Show
Presented by Lambda Car Club & The Lost Boys Motorcycle Club
When: 10:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Where: Roadway inside Piedmont Park between 12th & 14th Street Gates

Come check out a host of classic cars and stunning motorcycles. Owners will be on hand to discuss their vehicles, many of which they personally refurbished.

What:  Atlanta Pride Literary Showcase
When:   12:00 Noon – 2:00 p.m.
Where:   Piedmont Park Pavilion (Bud Light Stage)

Join us for Atlanta Pride’s eighth annual literary showcase. The event highlights the works of local writers and poets. Authors will also be available to sign books during the showcase.

What:   Trans March (Sponsored by the Lloyd E. Russell Foundation)
When:   Assembly at 1:15 p.m., Steps off at 1:45 p.m.
Where:   In front of Hospitality Center (Located near the 12th Street Gate)

This march celebrates and promotes visibility of the Trans community. The march takes place on the festival grounds and all Trans people and Trans Allies are welcome to participate. We encourage individuals to make and bring signs supportive of Trans issues. Please stay positive in your message.

What: Dyke March Pre-Party Social & Crafting GET – DOWN
When: 3:15 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Where: Piedmont Park Charles Allen Gate

Sponsored by the Lloyd E. Russell Foundation. We’ll have snacks, music for dancing, and super nice folks for socializing. Join us to craft pasties, signs to carry, sashed, or anything that will make you stand out from the crowd. All are welcome, so allies planning to cheer on the Dyke March can come and make their signs too.

When: Assembly at 5:30 p.m., Steps off at 6:00 p.m.
Where: Charles Allen Gate

The Dyke March, with its focus on women, unites to create an atmosphere of inclusion and community. The march is open to all women loving women (trans-inclusive) of any race, culture, orientation, ability, health, socioeconomic level, family structure, faith or age! You do not have to register for the Dyke March, simply show up at the Charles Allen Gate at 5:30 p.m.

Where: Center stage/The Loft 1374 West Peachtree Street

Presented by Curve Personals & Pandora Events. Join over 2, 000 women as they party the night away and celebrate in Southern Style with DJ Pat PAt (Aqua Girl, Girls in Wonderland) on the turntables playing the hottest mix of hits. Join rugby World Cup Champion and 2012 Atlanta Pride Honorary Grand Marshal Ben Cohen, MBE as he hosts this dance party benefitting the Atlanta Pride Committee and the Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation. The best drag entertainment that the city has to offer. The Starlight Cabaret closes out Pride weekend each year and is always a crowd-pleaser.

When: 9:00 p.m.
Where: Opera Nightclub 1150 Peachtree Street NE

Presented by Chris Coleman Enterprises. Immediately following the Starlight Cabaret, close out your Pride weekend with DJ Hector Fonseca(NYC) and DJ Theresa(NYC) with three amazing levels, a gorgeous outdoor terrace, and VIP Service. For our sixth annual exhibit, Atlanta Pride focuses on the contributions of LGBT individuals in the creative fields, including art, motion pictures, television, theatre, and music.

What: The Community Health Expo

Where: BLUE Market Section

Located in the BLUE market section, the Community Health Expo gathers community health and service organizations in one central location. Whether you need a hepatitis vaccine, information on preventing breast cancer, an HIV test or general information on staying healthy, these organizations can help.

What: The Pride Marketplace
When: 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
Where: Piedmont Park

Featuring over 200 vendor booths, the Pride Marketplace is the largest expo of its kind in the southeast.
